Knee replacement
I had a traumatic injury to my knee and Dr. Shields performed a surgery reconstructing my patellar tendon to my shin bone. After several months I was forced to switch to Dr. Alwood because of it being a work comp injury. Dr. Alwood was an amazing surgeon as well, as I had him for a 2nd surgery that was required. Both of these Dr.s had amazing bedside manner and took the time to listen to me and ask questions that were needed. Nearly 2 years later, I am finally at my maximum recovery. Great visit! Dr. Alwood was very pleasant and direct. I thought I would need a knee arthroscopy but he said I needed a total knee replacement. Not the news I was expecting but I appreciated his honesty. He offered an injection to help while I processed this new dilemma. Thanks Doc, so far so good!
