I went to Anderson Eye for a second opinion. I first met Katie who really made me feel comfortable and welcome. Then I met Dr Vanhorn,. The Dr explained everything thoroughly and also made me feel like he really cared. Between the two of them it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time at a Dr office.

I have been a patient here for years. I had an appointment for an eye exam and contacts. The eye exam went fine until I got to the contacts department and spoke with Gwen. She gave me the wrong prescription trial pair. I let her know at least three different times before I left my appointment that I could not see out of my right eye. She kept shutting me down. I drove home blind that day. I went home and put in my old contacts. They worked correctly and I could see just fine. I called Gwen back that day and told her about it... read more

Dr. Van Horn is far and away the most caring, thorough, and talented doctor I have encountered in decades, of any discipline or specialty. He consults colleagues and mentors for unusual presentations like mine. He never just punts to get you out of the office. He explains everything from current diagnosis to next steps and prognosis. He doesn't sugar coat, but he doesn't scare you. He is honest and genuine. If every specialty had doctors like him, we would be a healthier nation.

Everyone in the office was fantastic….I don’t have a single complaint! The receptionist that checked me in, the person who did all of my vision tests before the doctor came in, the doctor and then the person who explained everything to me! Dr. Pan was friendly and explained everything thoroughly and made sure I didn’t have any questions when I left the room. Was told that I owed $10 from 4 years prior and would not let me be seen until the payment was made. I paid cash on departure four years ago. Plus, I remember the window and let two other people cut me in line. The office refused to see me until remittance was made. The checkout staff called someone in Bay City, who said they could see the history, that no one had accessed the chart, and that I had never paid. False on every level.
