I had been trying to find a motor to replace the old one we had and found Anchor Marine. Doug is a person that takes his business to the next level. I am very pleased with the service and the warranty he offers on his motors. I had an issue with my trim switch and Doug replaced it under his warranty. My wife and I are very happy and will be taking our boat way up north this coming weekend(Oct 1st), hopefully catch a few fish and take in the fall colors. I have been a satisfied customer of Anchor Marine for over 14 years. Doug has serviced, repaired and stored my boats and pontoon over those years. He has also assisted in selling my boat and pontoon and gave me advice when I purchased replacements. I have never had any problems with the work Doug has done for me. His work is reliable and fairly priced. I have recommended Anchor Marine to friends and relatives and will continue to do so.
My experience with Anchor Marine was not one I would care anyone to have. Anchor Marine did not stand behind his work, which resulted in costly repairs and needing to go to a different and reliable marine repair shop. The main issue was due to Doug putting an incorrect size prop on my boat. When I went to try and discuss this with him to try to resolve some concerns, not only I but another marine mechanic/repair staff was treated very rudely.
