Anchor Bay Aquarium.. where do I start? 12/8/2020 Summary: DO NOT GO. Rude owner that refuses to take accountability. NOT SAFE. I went to support this small business in downtown New Baltimore, Michigan. With me, I had my service dog in training, and my teen sister. We stopped before opening the door to read; they had multiple signs up about masks, and a paper up for their pandemic hours. Satisfied everything was in order, we opened the door and entered. Immediately, two loose poodles charge at us. We start to back up, and I ... read more

Rude and disruptive, potentially dangerous place to be. If you have any fear of dogs or aggressive dogs, this is not the place for you. Roaming dogs that were off lead "greeted" you at the door ready to attack once you walked in. The owner/worker I'm not sure which, did not care whatsoever that these dogs were not friendly, one for sure was stated to be aggressive. This person proceeded to bash a potential customer who came in with their service dog and told them that they should've announced themselves as having an animal s... read more

Poor husbandry with their axolotls. They’re selling them on gravel and impacted, and also feeding them bloodworms which isn’t a staple and has little nutrition. They also don’t listen when concerns are voiced and will talk down at customers. Don’t trust them to give you sound advice, give you good service or sell you a healthy animal.

Bloated axolotls in tanks with gravel. A pet store should not carry animals they are clueless about. Lack of knowledge leads to suffering animals.

They do not take proper care of their animals. They are unwilling to learn how to care for them. ESPECIALLY THE AXOLOTLS!

Your poor axolotls are suffering because of your ignorance. Please educate yourself and help those poor babies.
