I always enjoy my visits to Anchor OTR... I love the oyster special on Thursday, and the are great menu options for friends who opt out in oysters. The bar, servers and other diners are friendly, always a fun crowd. Highly recommend Anchor as an inclusion in your Cincinnati experience!
The Anchor is the best seafood restaurant in the city by far. At a recent beer tasting, Chef Steven Shockley made 5 delicious and inventive pairings that went beautifully with the Dogfish Head beers. Awesome!
The waiter was excellent, attentive but not hovering. The food was also excellent. I was delighted by the fried squash blossom appetizer special which was just as beautiful as it was delicious with an excellent balance of spices. The fish entree was a small portion but perfect. We always enjoy our meals here.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. The staff is friendly and provide great service. The manager genuinely wants his customers to be happy. They have a great wine list and can shake the hell out of a martini on request. The oysters served with the cocktail sauce and horseradish is to die for and I was lucky enough to find a tiny pearl in my oyster. I love the happy atmosphere and everything I eat is delicious! What more can you ask for
I thought it was ok. I didn’t think the value was there for what we ordered. I mean $28 for 4 scallops and a little califower. I’ll be in no hurry to return.
