Awesome Anawalt! In the days of Home Depot and Lowe's it is so nice to go to an old time lumberyard like Anawalt Lumber. I lived just down the street from Anawalt growing up and as an adult I have found them to be as nice, accommodating and old fashioned as they used to be. Definitely a plus because they are the little guy in a megastore world. Support Anawalt Lumber if you're anywhere in the San Fernando Valley.
Great quick-stop location If you live in the area and need a single item or two, this is a great place to go. You won't hit the crowds of Lowe's or Home Depot, and they have fair prices. It's smaller, as you would expect, but they do have a variety of hardware for your every day home needs.
Incompetent staff after giving the exact specifications over the phone for a hard to find plumbing part i was assured that they had it in stock. After driving 45 minutes i found that they have the exact same stock as all the hardware stores close to my house. What good is calling ahead if the staff isn't competent enough to check their inventory
Anawalt Lumber & Materials Co is the BEST! These guys are great. Easy parking, helpful employees and decent prices. Oh, and they even have free coffee in the lumber area for those who need a pick-me-up during the day. They've got my business from now on.
