After getting the runaround from so many doctors about my specific issue, Dr Bakoulis was the first one that i felt really cared and took me seriously. Her hands on approach solved the problem and for that I will always be grateful. The nurse that assisted her was also so wonderful and caring. I highly recommend her ♡

Compassionate, caring and patient. I am not the easiest person to deal with. She managed to put up with me and provide the best experience for this journey. The surgery was an experience that she made relatively easy. There are no words to thank her and her staff and Stony Brook Hospital for the care they provided and continue to provide.

My daughter WAS a patient of Dr. Bakoulis. She has a cardiac history including prior open chest surgery for corrected transposition of the great vessels, pacer/aicd and stroke history with subsequent seizures. Because of this history, relatively simple ailments can become quite serious in a short period of time. PLEASE READ!!!! First experience with Dr Bakoulis was incredible. She was personable, and appeared caring. Five months later and my opinion has done a complete180. I personally would not recommend a single person to her. I have a recurrent breast abscess. Dr Bakoulis was great the FIRST time. The second time we contacted her and got no response.
