After getting the runaround from so many doctors about my specific issue, Dr Bakoulis was the first one that i felt really cared and took me seriously. Her hands on approach solved the problem and for that I will always be grateful. The nurse that assisted her was also so wonderful and caring. I highly recommend her ♡
Compassionate, caring and patient. I am not the easiest person to deal with. She managed to put up with me and provide the best experience for this journey. The surgery was an experience that she made relatively easy. There are no words to thank her and her staff and Stony Brook Hospital for the care they provided and continue to provide.

My daughter WAS a patient of Dr. Bakoulis. She has a cardiac history including prior open chest surgery for corrected transposition of the great vessels, pacer/aicd and stroke history with subsequent seizures. Because of this history, relatively simple ailments can become quite serious in a short period of time. Dr Bakoulis treated my daughter several months back for breast infection that needed to be drained and antibiotics to be prescribed.
