I have seen her several times in the urgent care clinic. The clinic has a bit of a wait, but Dr. Castoro is thorough and kind. She answered my questions and made sure I understood the treatments. She doesn't make you feel rushed out. I've felt better with her cares.
I thought she was very nice and diagnosed me correctly got medicine and was on my way
My experience with Dr Castoro today at an urgent care office was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider. I was having trouble breathing and speaking, yet she continued to ask me the same questions. Even more insulting, she would not wait for me to finish answering before asking the next question. She also made some hasty assumptions, implying that I had omitted information regarding my symptoms and condition when I spoke with the ER, ENT and PCP during the visits which I had leading up to this... read more
I really don't have anything bad to say about Dr. Castoro but the front office is lacking and rude. My wife called today to make an appointment and was told to go to urgent care. When she insisted that she needed an appointment they said they would pencil her in for Feb 5th but to call her insurance for a recommendation to an urgent care. I, for one, find this ridiculous. I am now going to contact my insurance and make a PCM change.
Dr. Castoro was friendly, thorough, and correct in her diagnosis. She diagnosed my health problem accurately and prescribed correct medications precisely.
Dr. Castoro is very personable and takes the time to answer all your questions. When performing a procedure, she tells you what she is going to do before she does it. While I do not have a specific disease or condition at this point in time, she will be the medical professional I want to help me when I do.
My 92-year old mother has been a patient at this office for several years. We've not been satisfied with her medical care, but I think the final straw was earlier this week when I called to make an appointment -- my mom had suffered quite a serious fall and was told by the ER to follow up with her primary care doctor, only to be told the next appointment was April 11th- OVER 6 WEEKS AWAY! What's the point in having a doctor if you're unable to get an appointment when you need one??!
This Doctor is not willing to write prescriptions for some common non-control substance maintenance medicines. Instead Dr Castoro refers you to a specialist. In my case the medicines were ones that her office had previously prescribed. My guess is that Dr Castoro does not want to manage a chronic medical condition for an undisclosed reason. Also l was left at the last moment without warning to contact my G.I. doc to get a prescription. Not acceptable responsible practice. Friendly staff.
I appreciated the time spent with me during my initial visit and the questions that were asked to get a complete picture of my health.
