I have tried a lot of bahn mis in Edmonton. I crave An Vat char siu bahn mi all of the time. Big, lots of filling, crispy bread, good price. One of my fave places to get bahn mi in Edmonton.
After sampling a co-worker's Lemongrass Chicken, I had to drop by An Wat later that week to grab my own portion. Absolutely delicious!
Tried An Vat's Salted Egg Cupcakes, Pandan Layer Cake and Pomelo Pudding for Vietnamese Heritage Month at City Hall. Excellent! I hope to visit their location shortly to try their other menu items.
We got the salted egg roll cake, beef offal stew, and Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. My husband especially loved the food and said the flavors tasted very authentic. The salted egg roll cake was one of our favorites—it wasn’t overly sweet, just the right balance, so I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys desserts but doesn’t like them too sweet.
