Dr. Coburn was very friendly and tentative. She explained my eye conditions to me after the examination. When she prescribed medication, she wanted me to check with pharmacy about the price.
Amy is the best! She takes care of my entire family, parents and mother-in-law.
Excellent provider
Dr Coburn went over my records with me, reviewed the currency findings and then examined my eyes in detail - she had a student in the room and she patiently explained to him what she was looking for in my eyes and then with my consent he took a look so that he could see what she saw. Absolutely NO issue with a medical student being involved - being taught by the best is what makes Methodist so darn special

Doctor Amy Coburn, is a very qualified eye doc. Her staff isn’t as quick on the uptake as she is. Because am allergic to the heat of the sun, she was able to accommodate my condition. She was always warm and caring. But I quit her because of problems with Methodist outpatient.
Has cared for my eyes for over 20 years. She has my highest recommendation!
She may be a good doctor but she cancels consistently. You may have booked your appointment 7 months or more in advance, then they start calling to "rebook" you. And they can rebook you 2 or 3 more times for the same visit. And each time, your appointment gets farther and farther out. It's not worth it- and you have to wait in the waiting room way past your appointment time. I also felt like she rushed. No surprise.
Dr. Coburn is an excellent doctor. I have a relatively rare condition with my eye, which another doc misdiagnosed and a second one diagnosed but didn't treat properly. Dr. Coburn recognized the problem and has treated very successfully while also educating us. She printed out info from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for me which was very reassuring. She is warm, caring and amazing.
