Not So Great – Before having gone, we heard nothing but outstanding ravings about this place. When we finally went, the service was terrible. We never had a consistent waiter, the food took about 40 min ? to an hour and on top of that, our sushi arrived at varied times, I had ordered two rolls and I got one roll served 20 minutes before the 2nd one arrived. The food was ok, nothing out of this world. I was very disappointed and I don?t think I would go back any time soon. I think I can get just as good quality ingredients, m... read more
Great Sushi! – There is a large variety of delicious rolls to choose from. My fiancee and I try a new one every time we visit, which is about once a month. The food is great, the presentation is impressive, and the prices are fair.
Crowded but still good – We went there on a Saturday night. Although it was very crowded we got seated within 30 minutes as promised. Seating is odd but with all the crowd our food still came within acceptable time. Sushi was fresh and good.
Best in Town – While other restaurants are closing their doors all over downtown - Amura is packed everyday. They have a great lunch special that is priced around $5.95-$7.95, including a soup and salad. Excellent value. Very fresh. Prompt service. They have a new location on Sand Lake Rd. with a more decor, but the prices are a tad higher also.
OK, but not that good! – I don't understand all the previous reviews, because honestly the place just isn't that good. It's OK, the sushi is ok, the service is ok. The menu is so intensive it is confusing. Dont bring a date, the lighting is not flattering and the seating is odd. But again it's ok! If Ichiban is too crowded then go to Amura, but you will have an OK time. There are so many rolls, you can't tell one from another!
BEST EVER! – Amura's has the best sushi in town. No skimping on the ingredients and offers a wide variety of choices. Love the supercrunch rolls!!!! great atmosphere, friendly people
