Our modestly-sized Cape Cod was reaching its bursting point with 4 of us in the house and we were looking to expand. We had already used Pellak Construction two years ago to give us a new garage/mudroom/half bath addition to our 1920's home. We were so pleased with all aspects of the project that we knew we'd hire them again when it came to renovating our kitchen space. As in many older homes, our kitchen was quite small and narrow, with an awkward layout for more than one person cooking, outdated cabinets, inadequate counter space and limited storage. After wrapping up demolition, the heat in our house registered a sensor error. It was January and in the single digits. I called Pellak to ask for advice on what might be wrong - the owner, Andrew, showed up at my door half an hour later. At 8:00 pm. He said it was too cold to try this over the phone. Andrew quickly found the issue, fixed it, then chatted with me for 40 minutes while waiting to ensure the house was warming properly.
