Well I went to Purgatory 74 last night mainly to pay my respects to one of the last venues to see a good "in your face" rock show in Charlotte, now that practically everything left is corporate owned. It is still surreal I saw the full Beasties Boys line up here about 8 years ago on a Rock the Vote tour with Sheryl Crow. We'll miss you Amos'!

I spent my 20's at this place. I have seen to many bands to list here. This possibly the last REAL venue left in Charlotte. I love Amo's and I hate to see it go.

One of the few legitimate venues left for all the legitimate bands who are gonna have trouble finding a suitable venue in NC this year. When I first started played music live in the early 2000's there were more than enough venues. Amos opened toward the end of our touring cycle but we played there a couple times. First time being with Atreyu, from first to last, everytime I die and chiodos. Since killwhitneydead stopped playing Ive watched so many venues close.
