Some of the best pizza in Atlanta. You order and pay upfront at the counter and then seat yourself in a dining room that is a mix of private and community style tables (outside seating also available). The line can get really long but it moves pretty quick and once you place your order you'll have your food in 20 minutes or less. The pizza is Napoletana Style Wood Fired and it is AWESOME. Definitely not family friendly. We sat in a booth while one member of our party was ordering food. There were at least 4 open tables andwe had an active toddler with us who was behaving well. Three different people chased us from the table, the last was the manager. I told him if space became an issue we could move but he said no. I asked him if he had kids and he said yes. The pizza is good, as is their beer selection. And the service is usually ok even if the lines always seem to be long. But I've had a couple of experiences with no lines, quick ordering and then 30 minutes of waiting for a pizza that takes 5 minutes to cook. I just don't understand how that can even happen and if it does, they should explain that the pizzas are backlogged and will take way longer than you'd ever expect. I'm almost ready to give up on Ammazza.
Our food took forever to come and our friends got the wrong size pizza but the server didn't seem to care at all and just dumped the pizza on on the table. Seems like the kind of place I'd enjoy eating but was such a let down.
