My brother went here looking for help and clothing donations, they gave him clothes that were for the opposite sex and the others were 2 sizes too big. They say they will assist in finding jobs but never helped with that either. Hoping this review makes someone do something good for a positive change for people who are really wanting it.
This place is terrible and crooked in every sense. Not only are they racist and discriminate against certain races they’re also thieves. One counselor was stealing anything of value or anything nice from the donations we were getting. Also when I was sent back to prison the PAROLE OFFICERS stole my phone and wallet as they were the ones who confiscated it. On top of all this when my family returned there to pick up all my belongings I was missing more than half my shoes, glasses and watches. Grimey people, watch out!

I have been affiliated with Amistad de Los Angeles/Amity Foundation in Los Angeles as a contractor for their various family events for more than 12 years and I have come to know many of their staff and students throughout those years. Amity has literally saved the lives of many men coming out of drug & alcohol addiction, abuse, incarceration and violent home situations. Amenity allow ex drug addicts run the program with the exception of Raul who treated everyone like we mattered in addition to Ava,, but the rest was foul especially with the PO who only strive to return African American released to Amenity back to prison and give everyone else chance after chance. The PO is extremely racist which is why I packed my own personal property and took it to the gate and left. Today I own and operate my own business and make far more money than she and anyone else within CDCR.
