I lived in a Amish community for years and had a lot of Amish cooking and this was nothing like real Amish food. Totally a waste of my drive and money.
For anyone that likes to float the river in Tahlequah, please keep this place in mind for the drive home. It's a small little place in Muskogee and they have THE BEST homemade bread!!! We have stopped there twice now for breakfast and it doesn't disappoint. We found it on accident after leaving IHOP because of an hour long wait. As good the toast is, that same bread makes for some divine French toast! We had a great time there this morning and couldn't have had a better waiter. Please give them a try on your next trip!
My husband I love going to this place! We are driving the 2.5 hours this next weekend to stock up on some items we love!
The service was terrible
Most disgusting meal. Got the special turkey dressing mashed potatoes! First if all the rolls were not homemade! They didn't have real butter the turkey was out of a can and the dressing was something you might get at the the hospital mushed bread with sage! The potatoes were good and the tea. Other then that I can assure you everything else was caned! Yuk!
Had chicken fried it was awesome. My step mom had chicken salad sandwich and loved it. Took some fudge home...melt in your mouth yummmm.
Food was exquisite. Grandma's home coming from scratch. Treat yourself to a meal you will not be disappointed. I look forward to treating myself to another wonderful meal.
We drove into Muskogee, OK., and right there was the Amish Country restaurant and store, decided to try it. IT WAS AMAZING! Honest to God home style meals. Clean, quaint sit down dinners and home made desserts. Interesting store items. Try it.
