My best friend had open-heart surgery at university Chicago and there were some complications with him getting off the ventilator. University of Chicago gave three options, AMG specialty hospital was one of them. After going there and reviewing the facility, it was clear he needed to go there. My mother was admitted from August 12 to September 4, 2025 to AMG Specialty Hospital in Crown Point for recovery from a blood infection. She is completely ambulatory. The care she received was outstanding. The facility was immaculate and smelled freshly cleaned every day I visited, no matter the hour. My mother also remarked on how thoroughly her room was cleaned daily.
