The greatest surgeon, my tocayo, my friend, Dr Guillermo Amescua.
Dr. Amescua did my cataract surgery In both eyes these past 3 weeks. I cannot tell you how happy I am. He is fantastic. Within 5 days of the surgery, I am seeing almost 20/20 in both eyes. I have worn glasses since i was 6...60 years of glasses and now I can see perfectly. I wish he was my ophthalmologist in NY.

I met Dr Amescua in 2017 under very scary conditions. After several visits with different ophthalmologists, Dr Amescua was referred to me as last resource. I was diagnosed at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for an acanthamoeba keratitis and Dr Amescua embarked with me on this long journey to recovery. My mother had an excellent experience with Dr. Amescua and his team at Bascom Palmer Hospital, including his anesthesiologist. Doctor Amescua and his anesthesiologist took the time to listen to my mothers concerns and answered all of our questions in regards to the procedure. I am so grateful to have already found a wonderful Doctor and his excellent anesthesiologist that my worries for the day of surgery no longer exist.
