Let me start by saying Dr. Ames came very highly recommended from a friend of mine. I paid her a visit because I'd been struggling to fight off some plantar fasciitis issues and wanted to get a professional opinion before I started exercising full-time again. The visit itself was passable (at best). Her bedside manner was average, but it took me multiple questions to get a detailed explanation from her, and she looked decidedly annoyed that I had to be explained anything in the first place. Beyond that, my true gripe comes f... read more
Clean and caring. – I have probably done 15 visits over the past 10 yrs. The place is simple and clean. Dr A looks after the issues and concerns of our family with care and quality attention. I have referred many friends her way over the years who have also been happy with the care they received. I saw the standard cleaning practices in use so I suspect that the other writer was a sales person who was miffed that her products where not purchased...
No disinfectants? – I called in prior to making an appointment to Ames Anne's to assure that they use disinfectants on the exam areas. This may sound loopy, but I have had a bad experience in the past at another facility. A young girl, I imagine he the secretary, said they "are not interested in disinfectants." I was utterly shocked and appalled of the girls response to me. I feel sorry for the patients that attend if she is indeed telling the truth about the sanitation of the office.
Ames Anne DPM – Dr Ames has been our family pod for 10 yrs. She has cared for my mom with kindness and respect. Each time she has seen me she has made sure I was comfortable and has treated the problem quickly and cost effectively which I appreciate Thanks Dr Ames.
Very gentle and caring – Dr. Ames was very gentle and caring when I took my daughter to see her (12 months at the time and still being treated for club foot, not a toe nail clipping, I cut my own daughter's toenails and would cut my mother's too if she needed it). We were very pleased with the experience and will definitely see her again. She's found her true calling as a podiatrist (far from shoeing horses).
Very impersonal, mother had a painful experience – I took my elderly mother to get her toenails trimmed,as she is a diabetic and can't do it herself. . Dr Ames was very rough and careless when she cut her toenails and afterwards my mother's toe was sore.. The Dr is supposed to buff the rough edges off ,but didn't. I wasn't in the room on the first appt ,but my mother told me she didn't want to go back, that the Dr was too rough. We thought MAYBE she was just having a bad day and so we went ahead and gave her another try a few... read more
Pleasant Experience – Dr. Ames and the staff are great. She was very attentive to my aesthetic concerns (which is rare) and worked with me and lifestyle. It was a very pleasant experience.
