I've used AmeriSpec in the past for house inspections and they've generally been good to work with. I have just had a strange interaction, though. I called yesterday and left a voice mail asking them to contact me. I called back today after not getting a call and spoke to Katie, who was adamant that she spoke to me. I have no memory of that and my phone log doesn't show a return call from them. So, I'd still recommend using them, but this was odd enough that I thought I'd share the experience.
The inspector made me feel very uncomfortable as a woman.
Do NOT use this inspection service! Several missed faults that turned into huge expenses on purchase. Furnace, AC, and a refrigerator all went out within 3 months of purchase and were all missed on inspection. Several other faults were not even inspected and only found later upon moving in. Use a local inspection service that actually cares.
