Layna Kirkham was an absolute life-saver! After another finance company dropped the ball in the 9th inning, Layna immediately picked the ball up and carried to a touchdown. She even got me a better rate and overall deal than 2 other companies were able to offer. She worked day and night to stay on top of the deal each step of the way. I've had a terrible experience with this mortgage company. I recently thought they had resolved my issue but now they are saying it's not. THEY FAILED TO PAY MY INSURANCE IN TIME SO I WAS DROPPED. And now they are after me to pay for the months where I was not covered by insurance. BUT IT IS THEIR FAULT FOR NOT PAYING FOR THE INSURANCE IN TIME!! I'VE NEVER BEEN SO UPSET WITH A COMPANY!!
I have never experience POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE like the mortgage group at what is now Ameris Bank. When I bought my home in Florida, the bank was called Fidelity. The people were always exceptionally helpful, and I became a loyal customer for all my banking needs until Ameris took them over. While the staff at the local bank is still a great group of people to work with, the mortgage department is actuallly in Illinois and the Douvenule people are NEVER going to speak to you on the phone.
