We have been an Amerigas customer since 2018 and were previously on automatic delivery. We changed some business equipment resulting in using less propane, so it was recommended we switch to phone ordering as needed. Calling the Amerigas customer service call center to order was an all around frustrating experience: communication was difficult, ordering took over 1/2 an hour, and since speaking directly with a local propane supplier to compare notes, I learned that the charge from Amerigas was about $1.00 per gallon HIGHER t... read more
Absolutely clueless call center full of chaos and incorrect information. They turned a simple tank fill into about a 30 hour project of use coordinating, taking time off work to meet driver at site, then showing up unannounced and unprepared. 3 different times they tried to perform the same leak test, with no record of previous leak test (it passed the first time), and kept trying to make another delivery after they finally filled tank. You charged me $220 to come out and survey my existing propane tanks to determine how to put your tanks in their place. Other companies do this at no charge to earn business. Your scheduler set an all-day timeline for your tech to arrive, requiring me to re-arrange my work schedule -- and you missed the day completely TWO TIMES. On the third try, you finally arrived for the service I had to pay for. Then your technician drove over my lawn on the way out of my driveway, leaving large tire ruts in my property.
