TERRIBLE customer service. I’ve now called Amerigas customer service 4x now in the last week to schedule and finalize our propane tank. First problem. You can’t schedule an appointment through customer service. Second problem. They tell you someone is supposed to call the same say or within 48 hours and it’s been over a week with no one calling to schedule. This is for a new construction home and I’m almost to the point of cancelling the service and going with someone else.
Amerigas quoted me $100 fr a service call to install a regulator, then charged me over $500 including hundreds for unnecessary work unrelated to a regulator, all without asking or updating the quoted fee several years ago. Since then they refuse to fill my rented, underground tank without me prepaying for a specific volume, and when I pay in advance they twice, both times, have delivered less propane than I paid for, and don’t give me a refund. They’re crooks, and won’t make it right even after multiple phone calls.
They NEVER do what I ask as far as call before arrive, when to arrive and their response to a LEAKING TANK was PATHETIC!!! Weeks to repair a LEAKING TANK that they own!!
The company seems to be getting better with customer service and delivery times. From order to delivery took 4 days this time.
Lots of Hidden fees, crazy long phone wait times (24min!!), just bad service
