We enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and rooms are large and the staff were friendly. It was only a few minutes drive to beaches and maybe 7 minutes to downtown. There are cookies in the lobby and breakfast was decent, but had no hot protein like eggs or meat. The pool looked beautiful and was large, but the chemicals were intense. Our eyes were burning after ten minutes in the area and I didn't even swim and the smell was overpowering.
Staying here for a week with young kiddos. Pool has an awful smell- trash/sewage. Thankfully we're planning on outdoor activities but it would be nice to have a pool for evening activities. Fingers crossed the weather cooperates too. Was tolerable for 15 or so minutes. Staff notified but advised an outside company services the pool. Not sure if there is a fix. If you need a pool for additional activities option would not recommend here.
We had a terrible experience at this hotel.. after being shook up from the Walmart stabbing, we called the hotel and asked if there was a room available said we were 5 mins away Abby the receptionist said yes just come and we will get you booked in when you get here, we arrived 5 mins later and then waited 5 mins for her to come out from the back room and she looked at us and said you should have booked and I said what do u mean, wasn’t it you that just helped us on the phone ? This was a very sweet and quiet place the staff and everyone was really friendly I would highly recommend this to anyone.
