I’ve stayed at many AmericInn locations, and this one on Gateway Blvd in Sioux Falls is by far the worst. Customer service is almost nonexistent — staff are rarely at the desk, slow to respond, and unhelpful when they do. It took over 40 minutes just to get an extra blanket and pillow. My room looked clean at first but had a musty smell, a gap to the outside around the HVAC unit, a leaking shower, and even a previous guest’s hair scrunchie on the floor. It was a reasonable priced hotel. Shows age, but the bed was comfortable.
The rooms were clean, well maintained.And the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Breakfast was good. And the breakfast area was very clean.
