Palmer Inn, York NE very good We drive from Chicago to Colorado on I-80 every year, and York is the halfway point. Palmer is our first-choice hotel. Good value, friendly staff, and nice continental breakfast. It's really an expanded continental breakfast. I agree that their biscuits and gravy are terrific, but they also usually have hard-boiled eggs, waffles, toast, cereal, and oatmeal. No Longer A Best Western Hotel. And thats a good thing! On a recent road trip from Las Vegas NV to Alliance Ohio (8 fun filled days of road travel, an arduous undertaking at best) we discovered a little gem in of all places, York Nebraska. Traveling with my brother and husband, a total of 4500 miles, the second stay of our trip ended at The Palmer, a quaint motel off the I-70 interstate.
