I went for my annual eye exam. The pre-exam was OK, the doctor was good and quick. Then, a saleswoman came to "help me" choose frames. After rushing me, she decided to upgrade the frames without consulting me: polycarbonate, anti-glare, "protection from children," etc: almost $250. I was upset and told her I hadn't asked for any of this, that I wanted things as simple as possible. The bill went from $240-something to $30.
