Buena causa
Horrible service, I didn’t appreciate being lied to ether. Decided to donate because of Red Cross calling stating there’s a shortage, and they really could use donations. So I of course went down to this donation center, front desk wasn’t helpful. She rudely stated that they wouldn’t be able to squeeze me as for everyone was on break at the same time. And that Red Cross would be contacting me to set an appointment, which took them 3 weeks for them to call me.
I have been donating whole blood and platelets at the Red Cross Salem Blood Donation Center for almost two years. I look forward to come and donate here. I feel I am there to provide potential life saving products to others in need...period. I am not one to be catered to or pampered, but every time I arrive to donate, I am greeted enthusiastically and treated like I'm the only one there during my entire donation process. Why go here? Have donated 18 units at this place but each time it is as if they are doing you a favor taking your blood and worse experience every time. Unfriendly, unhappy, and empty. I have switched to Bloodworks NW in Eugene, farther to drive but they are all friendly, happy and busy. Awesome experience. You should go there instead
