Stop telling me, a donor, that I will get gift a I donate, and then tell me, after I donated, that they are out of the gifts. Last time was $5 gift card to Amazon. Never got it. Before that was a gift certificate for Home Depot, I was told they were out. And even before that it was to be a cooler bag, again, they said they were out. On my last visit I was told I would get an email with my gift. It has been a month now. Better not to offer anything, then to make a donor feel cheated.

The best way to avoid the phone calls is to set your next appointment yourself. My friend and I donate platelets every two weeks, and schedule our appointments ahead of time. Thus, no nagging calls.
