Do yourself a favor and read these reviews before scheduling to donate blood here. Three times in a row now I scheduled to donate and was cancelled last minute. The last time I sat in the waiting area for 30 mins before someone told me I would “need to reschedule”. If there is a blood shortage, and our donations are that meaningful, then you’d think someone would do something to remedy the situation.
This isn't the first time this happened at this location, I had a scheduled appointment at 11:15 and when I walked in the woman immediately came and told me they canceled my appointment due to low staffing..more like it's the weekend and the workers want a slow day knowing most people come in on the weekend due to their work responsibilities. Extremely unprofessional, do not come here. Find a different red cross location.
I scheduled an appointment to donate blood, but when I arrived, they told me I had to reschedule because they didn’t have enough staff. This is not the first time—it's actually the fourth time this has happened, always on a Sunday. I don't drive, so my husband has to stop working to take me, and we live about 45 minutes away. This is very frustrating and disappointing.
Staff was fantastic as usual, though the Red Cross still needs to get that app fixed. There’s a badge for an AB elite donor and the “We’re all in this together” badge which could only be acquired in 2021. Not everyone has AB blood, or even started donating until after 2021. Just get those badges off of the app as they don’t apply to most people.
