Unprofessional, Uncaring, the "maintenance" crew is Untrained & Disrespectful of your property - especially if you're not home when they come in (and they Will come in when you're not home). From the outside, most properties I saw look decent - pretty, even. But Buyer Be Ware - these are Old properties with management that could hardly care any less than they do. Commercial rip off, DON'T lease from them, in 25 years of dealing with business leases this is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. Want to be harassed rent from them, want promises not to be kept rent from them, want your office to be left unlocked rent to them they don't do their jobs. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE unprofessional people.

This PM company is terrible. We loved the apartment the first few months (in summer) but as october came around mold popped up on every single window. PM company told me it was my responsibility to avoid the mold and that I could be charged for damages caused by it. This was outrageous, we had just moved in! The seal on the refrigerator was broken as well, after three months of different 'technicians' stopping by and doing nothing, my PM guy told us that nothing could or would be done about it. WHAT? My toilet is broken and I need to poop – Well, that about says it all, doesn't it? Toilet broke last night, we told the landlady who said they'd be out on 'emergency services' first thing in the morning. It's noon and I have to poop really bad now. Don't expect prompt repairs on things, but you can count on your rent being raised automatically by 25.00 every year, they're always on time with that.

Don't do it. – Before you read this, I want you to keep in mind that I'm a VERY positive and optimistic person. I find it very easy for me to highlight the good qualities of companies while tactfully pointing out any flaws in hopes that they will read my review and attempt to fix it... APM – I moved to Portland from the midwest for school. They knew very well that my fiance and I knew nothing about this town and sent their best con artist to roll us over. Mary, a seemingly hapless woman who talks lovingly about her dog and husband scammed us into paying two hundred more than any one else in the building. Worst Place I've Ever Lived – I'ved lived in about 8 different cities, and I can honestly say this is the worst apartment complex I've lived in. I received two eviction threats when rent was 1 day late. I mistakenly received two rental violations that were for my neighbor. The owners wants this place to be a slum. Also, the rental violations I mistakenly received were for ridiculous stuff like shoes and a chair on the back porch. They do monthly visual inspections of your back porch apparently and had a bad layout schematic.

Great Service Needed Upgrade – I was with American Property in the 90's, it was a great place to stay due to the sq. ft and the maintence team was always timely. Well I decided to go back after selling our home, and getting a job in Beaverton, OR and I kinda wish i didn't! Okay, it looks just like the place I left in 1992! Come on American Property, I didn't even think they still sold multi color carpet anylonger, and they have the same cabinets! Unprofessional -- Will steal your money and your time. – American Property Management is criminal. I lived in an apartment for only a few months before leaving due to health issues caused by my poor living conditions. I was told upon moving in that the carpets had been cleaned, and they most definitely hadn't. I steamed the carpets myself, and it took four times before the water wasn't completely black.
