This is my favorite place in San Diego. On the Plaza at Old Town, it is in an historic building. The first thing you notice inside is the aroma of teas, coffees and spices froim around the world. (If only I could make my kitchen smell like that!) The staff are all in colonial period dress, and are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They can guide you through the unfamiliar names to a taste that is perfect for you. I pass a hundred coffee shops on my way to work, but I drive out of the way to visit this one.
