It was an awesome run! The police, firefighters, and community supported their runners especially after the 10 mile run! Thank you for the water, oranges, cheers, hugs, and making sure everyone was safe! <3. I would definitely do this run again! ;) Upstate hospital recently lost one of their best nurses to heart attack! He was only 35 and left behind a wife and children ! ;)

My son Dillon was diagnosed with a Heart eliment when he had a high school sports physical. The only reason the PA used a a EKG Monitor was at my insistants because his brother had a Heart murmur at 17 and his uncle had open Heart Surgery at 29. I learned through our Deland High School here in Florida that a 17 year old on the weightlifting team in 2009 Died after his weightlifting class. My Question is Why is a EKG Not Mandatory with a Student's Sports Physical? My second Question is why is not Mandatory for Heart Defibrill... read more

This organization is so near and dear to my heart! I am an aunt to a 5 year old little boy that was born with a congenital heart defect and will soon be facing open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve. The AHA has been such a great organization to me and my family and we are hoping to raise more money than ever for heart disease at this years local Heart Walk in Wheeling WV.
