Traveling to Washington DC for our SA Embassy Visa submission had us locate accommodation in close proximity to Massachusetts Ave, or “Embassy Row”. Our personal choice has always been boutique, B&B or small places where we can receive a more personalized service, and sure enough The American Guest House provided that and much more. An extremely disappointing experience. The place is old and in disrepair. The toilet kept running after flushing and while I got it to stop in the evening, it kept going in the morning. You are forced to pay for breakfast even though it only starts at 830 - early morning travelers are promised a banana and muffin but they were nowhere to be found. Check in starts at 4 pm - late compared to other hotels in the area - and they nickle and dime you if you want to check in early.
Nice guest house and amazing livehood
Lovely little bed and breakfast located in a very nice part of downtown DC near lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Quiet and safe
