Absolute joke of a company. Fake response estimates - expect to be told you have a ~4 minute wait time and never hear back. Getting anyone from this company to actually pick up a phone has to be one of the hardest tasks in the modern world. I’d be surprised if they actually had more than 1 customer service staffer. I've had power issues with my home since we moved in. We have called and had technicians out multiple times. However, I called this past weekend to have AEP come out and try to fix my issue again. I want to give a big shout out to AEP, Nick, and Cole for fixing my problem once and for all hopefully🤞🏻! Thank you for all that you do!
It should not take 5 almost 6 hrs to fix a power outage after a little wind and happen at the same location as the time before . Just fix that location right and it won't keep breaking ... and from 5:40 reported to almost 11 pm to be fixed . Ridiculous they also add random deposits if you are late paying your bill that makes it harder to pay not easier ... they rob you !
I have two notable experiences with this company. The first occurred last January, when they completely shut off my power and heat without warning even though I was fully up to date on payments. It took almost two days to resolve because of their atrocious customer service. Turns out it’s illegal to remove heating capabilities in Indiana when it’s below freezing, but they didn’t seem to care and offered no follow up. Good luck getting through to anyone! Half the time you call their Customer Service number it says you’ve reached their Report An Outage Hotline; the rest of the time it’s a 15+ minute wait and they offer you a call back option. D O N O T T A K E T H I S O P T I O N ! ! When they call you back, the automated voice doesn’t acknowledge your voice as if it isn’t registering and the automated voice tells you you'll have to CALL THEM BACK!!! 🤯 It’s not funny, but this company is laughable!! Monopoly!
