The Block on Rio has outrageous electric bills. My son stayed in a three bedroom apt by himself. The other two rooms were closed and locked. He lived alone and was home 50% of the time. His average electric/water bill was $75 a month. Our final bill was $250. This was not divided between roommates! It was for one person. No one from American Campus ever came to change the air filter (we were told you are not allowed to fix things on your own. Resident must submit a request). Terrible customer service. The gate on the parking garage broke and I couldn't get my car out of the parking garage. I called maintenance and they said "20-30 minutes maybe". I had to make a flight so couldn't wait. Then I had to get a Fasten - only $22, I thought it would be no problem to get a reimbursement, right? Especially given that parking is $100/month. But no.
