This is a sickening, pathetic organization that is shamelessly seeking publicity by ignorantly taking a stand on something that has nothing to do with the organization's "mission." Such a disgrace!

Members attending the American Anthropological Association's (AAA) Annual Meeting in Denver yesterday voted overwhelmingly in favor of placing a resolution to boycott Israeli academic institutions on the organization's spring ballot in April. The resolution, considered by more than 1,400 members attending the AAA business meeting, will now be put to a vote by the organization's 10,000+ members for a final decision.

Not only is your obsequious cowtowing to anti Jewish pressure groups ensured your ignorant actions, but you are proof positive why'd" anthropology" is no longer considered a science and why this whole group is inconsequential.

Years ago I had the good fortune to take two courses in anthropology as part of my undergraduate education. Although I was glad to have been exposed to the content of the courses, the anti-religious bloviations of the professors was a terribly negative commentary on the subject itself. It is a continuing bigoted commentary on your association and what is pretends to represent, both academically and within the subject matter itself.

They are a bunch of hypocrites. Do they boycott the Chinese over Tibet? Do they boycott the Palestinian's over their incitement ( by Abbas no less) and called for MURDER of innocent Israelis? I could go on and on. They are hatefilled, arrogant people.

If you would read history, you would see how you have sided with the wrong side of it, in taking this most cowardly of positions. The Koran calls for the conquest of all other people, either through death or submission. What you have backed in the attempt to destroy Israel, has played out time and again elsewhere in the world. Do you believe the people of the Byzantine empire just woke up one day and decided to face Mecca? Did the Zoastrians of Persia voluntarily decide to change from a religion that embraced all people to o... read more
