My husband and I each had pain in our foot. His in his heel and mine by several digits of my foot. Doctor was extremely thorough and took his time with each of us. Wonderful, caring doctor and would highly recommend him!

Updated review from 5/7/19. I had a good conversation with Dr. Thakrar regarding the lack of info prior to costly treatments . He acknowledged the need to supply patients with costs and patient responsibility on balances. I really appreciated him listening to my concerns and continuing to treat me to alleviate my pain. His practice is young and progressive and offered me options other podiatrists didn’t. With the second treatment option he explained the procedure and what I should expect. Caring, friendly, professional, thorough and knowledgeable doctor. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Thakrar. He is an amazing surgeon and works well with patients.
2 visits went well. But then I received an EOB with charges of over $12,000. Dr. Suggested injections for my foot pain and never discussed the cost. They were $6000 each! In today’s world, costly procedures should be discussed and patients should be informed about these costs. My ins payed a good portion of the bill but I am stuck with several thousands to pay. And, to make it worse, injections didn’t eliminate the pain. And the doctor wants me to have another series of injections. I can’t afford that now and will have to li... read more
