The home health nurses, occupational therapists and physical therapists all seemed very competent at the their jobs. Always ready to give advice and demonstrations as needed. All were good at relating to my husband and trying to offer reassurance to him when he was frightened. Good experience for us. Thank you.
This is the fourth time I have been a client of Amedisys home health care. After my first experience, I have requested Amedisys every time I've needed home health care. The therapists are knowledgeable, caring and ready to educate as well as provide an excellent service. My team (Gladys and Jackie) kept me motivated to complete months of physical therapy. My physical therapist was prompt and ensured I performed all exercises correctly. I have recommended him to a family member.
My experience, if I was rating the 3 PT specialists assigned to provide home care would be 5/5, especially for Katie my main PT instructor, who was highly skilled, personable and professional. In less than 6 weeks, I could put away my walker and cane. I filed Formal Complaint Regarding Substandard Care and Lack of Support to MD Health Department for my 94 years old parent. Poor communication, slow response to urgent matters, poor medical judgement , declined to provide complex services for ill person, lack of professional, ethical and medical skills, integrity issues communicating and triaging at the charge nurse level, poor availability to accommodate patient schedule.
