The thought of trying to navigate a divorce with kids was overwhelming. Then I met Amber and it was clear that she had developed a great system to work through these stressful items. Amber was the calm and consistent voice through all the sessions, helping to navigate to a resolution. She definitely went the extra mile and I'm grateful for her leadership during the mediation.
Obviously, divorce is an incredibly painful and difficult process. And there is nothing that can be done to make it enjoyable. That being said, Amber did an amazing job of explaining the laws of divorce. As well as encouraging us to resolve as many of the details as possible without involving her or the courts. My attorney encouraged me to pursue post-decree mediation with my former spouse through Ms. Serwat; I complied with his request. The pre-mediation communication from Ms. Serwat's office was timely, professional, and excellent. When dealing with mediation, custody agreements and anything legal, these kind of things are dreaded and you spend a lot of time and emotions invested into them. For me, it was custody of my son and the schedule and details following him growing up with split parents. I had never had any experience with mediation or custody agreements and was very weary.
