I would provide a zero star review if it was possible. We were referred to UPMC Children’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care by my daughter's pediatrician following an injury that rendered her unable to walk due to extreme pain in her knee. It was the worst experience we've ever had and not aligned with the service I would expect being at Children's hospital. Without a question the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor regarding my son and concerns we (and other professionals) have. We were referred to a surgeon compared to a PA because his issues seemed “complex” and “technical”. This woman looked at my son for LESS THAN 10 seconds and said “your baby is fine”. She was so rude and dismissive I actually asked her to leave the room because of the way she was treating me. She then ignored me and slammed the door on her way out. Do yourself a favor and just go with someone else. “DR” McCoy couldn’t be any worse. Total time spent in the room 4 minutes 13 seconds. Didn’t listen to my daughter’s complaints or concerns. Actually didn’t listen to anything just made an assumption and referred to physical therapy. While she may have made the right call, only time will tell. Order an MRI and be 100% sure.
