Dr. Dorn has treated me for almost 12 years, and the reason I’ve been her patient for that long is simple: she's an excellent doctor, and she's just a wonderful human being. Did not follow up with my son after a major mental health issue. He had a required follow up appointment and she did not show up for the zoom. 24 days later, we received a letter in the mail - (no email or phone call which was the standard of correspondence for all previous communication.) Dr. Dorn is a kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable psychiatrist that takes the time to really understand what's going on. She has saved my life, literally and I would definitely recommend her to anybody else looking for high quality help. If your serious about your mental health and understand that it's not just a simple journey to happiness - this is the place to come.
The initial visit is a hefty $420.00 that wasn't covered by my insurance, but I was willing to pay it and see if Dr. Dorn could help with my issue. It was very disappointing that the first 60 minutes of the appt. was just her asking me about my family dynamics and writing down my answers while I sat in front of her. I could have filled out all of that information if they allowed me to before my appointment and have the $420 go towards her actually talking to me about why I came in to see her.
