My favorite omakase spot in the Bay Area. Tim and Nicole have excellent customer service and are really responsive. 10/10 and would suggest anyone who is into Omakase to definitely give this place a chance. A++++++ 100/100.
We visited Amami Shima Sushi for the first time and unfortunately had a very poor experience. We let the staff know it was our first visit, but instead of being welcoming, they made us feel completely out of place. We noticed regular customers were immediately served tea and edamame upon sitting down, while we were ignored and only given water. Best sushi place in Bay Area. Fresh sashimi, great portion. Omakase set is my go to. Staff are super friendly.
This place closes at 8:30 on Thursdays unlike what it says on Google Maps. Yelp also allows you to make an appointment till 8:45 and they didn’t honor it. So I was made to go away, in spite of an appointment.
Amami Shima Sushi is a small Restaurant serving absolutely outstanding food, especially Sushi. I am in Cupertino for Business for a week and just love having dinner here. The interior looks simple but staff is very friendly and the quality of the food is just outstanding! Parking lots in front of the restaurant are often taken but there is lots of Space in the back, just turn around the Building. Enjoy it!!!!
