good price. unprofessional and lack of knowledge. will not return I was referred to Amaka's by two friends of my friends who get their hair done there. I was not impressed with the salon at all. My stylist Takeyla was late (did not apologize for being late) did not talk to me about my hair at all (actually she didn't say more than was necessary to me like we were enemies or something). Unexceptable!!!! I bought a Groupon I couldn't get an appt for. I called and called.People were rude on the phone. Got my money back from Groupon and three months after Groupon expired Amaka's finally called me to 'fit me in'. Like what the heck? I would never recommend this place.
Personable and Professional This is a wonderful professional, beauty salon. The salon is really forth thinking, they allow you to book appointments on line. They have a great website that tells you all about their services. All of the stylist are inovative and knowledgable. They are interested in healthy hair.
Worst natural hair experience EVER!!! Worst natural hair experience EVER!!! Stylist name: Ariel or Aurielle. She arrived 15 minutes late and didn't apologize. Didn't section my 4c hair during shampoo/condition/blowout process. At home, I section in twist to make my washing process easier. She left me at the dryer for 20+ minutes after the machine cut off to do another client (didn't acknowledge or apologize then).
