Sr Stephenson set my ankle crooked during my first ankle fusion. I had difficulty walking with my foot being crooked. A screw broke but she wouldn't admit it was broken. I got a second opinion and it was confirmed in seconds. Stephenson redid my ankle fusion and told me my foot wouldn't be crooked. Guess what.. she set it the exact same way. Crooked! Dr. Stephenson was my podiatrist for 8 years. She did a total ankle replacement on me and two other major surgeries (both caused by an improper replacement). The ankle was not placed properly and has been deemed a catastrophic failure. I have recently undergone two surgeries to correct her errors. Unfortunately it will not provide me with a working ankle. It will, hopefully, relieve the pain I live with daily.
Dr. Stevenson treated my ankle 7 years ago. It was in terrible shape after breaking it and having a previous surgery by another surgeon. I had been dealing with the problem for 8 months and it was getting worse. She did a replacement and has also fixed a ruptured Achilles tendon. Seven years later (and 69 years old) I am back enjoying hiking, orienteering, and backpacking. Add to that the fact that she was one of the nicest, most personable doctors I have been to. As was her nursing staff I might add.
Do not go see Alyssa Stephenson she is rude and humiliating. I went to her for over a year and the pain got so severe I lost my job.
