My wife and I really enjoy Alyonka, we make sure to go every time we are in Boise. The food is great, beef stroganoff is fantastic. It is a bit expensive but it’s worth it for the occasional trip.
Very nice family owned restaurant. Friendly service and super fresh food.
Tasty food and extraordinary service
Drove 400 miles from Northern Idaho to get some authentic ethnic foods while attending the Basque Festival, August 1, 2026. Our first stop was Alyonka Russian Cuisine on West State Street. This family owned and operated (all female) restaurant was recommended to us for it's authentic dishes, all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Made a group reservation for 15, ended up showing with 11, but our waitress, Nina, handled several tablefulls of seniors with much grace and understanding. The food was excellent, I myself got the shuba and was delighted with the taste and texture mix of shredded beets and veggies with the smoked salmon on a perfectly toasted round of pita bread.
