As a retired pastor, Ive officiated at many weddings and seen everything that can go wrong. Ceremonies delayed by wandering members of the wedding party; guests never greeted; photography that keeps guests waiting for 3 hours, long delays resulting in guests leaving before the cake was cut, etc.This past weekend, I was a guest at my sons wedding at Alwyngton Manor. When my daughter and her fiancee first chose Alwyngton Manor, they came home and said that Ms. Beebe assured them everything would be perfect--all they had to do was SHOW UP! She delivered that promise and MORE!! My daughters wedding day was 2 weeks after her Masters degree graduation. Needless to say,she was very busy in the weeks before the wedding! Many thanks to everyone at Alwyngton for a perfect day this September! Without Beebes expert advice and planning, the day would not have been the same. She was right, we could sit back and enjoy our day and not worry about a thing. Her tips saved us a lot of money Im sure! The vendor recommendations made everything work smoothly and our guests all said what a great time they had! The location is stunning...a perfect setting for a perfect wedding. The rose garden is romantic and lovely. Thank you again!
The owner was extremely rude to our guests and, though the location is beautiful, the environment was tense...making the overall experience frustrating and not worth it. Also, watch out for extra costs - this place was not as affordable as we originally thought.
I was recently part of a large wedding at the manor. The day and the wedding were beautiful and we have tons of fantastic pictures to help us remember the day, however the owners presence caused unwanted friction. We had a perfectly warm sunny day with a cool breeze. The rose garden was a perfect spot for the ceremony and the horse carriage taxi for the bride put the icing on the cake. What can I say about my wedding day? It was perfect! Everything from the moment I arrived at Alwyngton until my husband and I left was spectacular. The horse carriage entrance to the rose garden for the ceremony completely surprised my husband and my guests. The ceremony setting was beautiful.
