This place has the best Italian food I've ever eaten. Very homey and welcoming:)
Fresh pasta, pizza, breads and pastries. This place is awesome! Family owned and run it is a hidden gem in Olde Uptown Harrisburg. There is no doubt in my mind you'll love this place. The only complaint is when the family goes on summer vacation and they close for a week. We miss them!
Alvaro's is not just a restaurant or a bread shoppe, it's an Italian market on quality par with Tenuta's in Kenosha or Tremini's at the Reading Market. Their cannoli is better than either of the other greats. From fresh sliced antipasto, every day home made bread to olives, home made gelato and ma's personal touch on every meal. Go there. Meet the family. Love the food. Feel at home.
