I toured Garden Court Towers on May 9th. Although the building is new and the amenities are nice, there are three things that made me walk away from Garden Court Towers: 1. The elevator in the new tour broke down during my tour. That convinced me that the other reviews on google from tenants complaining about losing hot water and central air are likely true. 2. Absolutely miserable process in applying. Nothing ANYWHERE said ANYTHING about the “security deposit” that you’re required to pay WITH YOUR APPLICATION, let alone if it’s refundable or not. The fine print doesn’t even cover it. I got a lease from LVL North that had more fees than I anticipated, so I told them I had to decline the lease and live somewhere else. Avoid at All Costs: This Company Endangers Its Residents If I could give this property management company zero stars, I would. They have made it painfully clear that profit matters more to them than the safety and well-being of the people who live in their buildings. This is truly a corrupt organization. It has been 4 months now and I still have not received my security deposit. Here is a warning to everyone: if you are looking for housing and see that it is owned/operated by Alterra/APG, don’t bother submitting an application.
