I have been going to the Alternative Medi-Spa at their oak brook location for about a year now I originally purchased their groupon and purchased additional treatments with them as well and i was very suprised by the reviews that are on here! the technicians there are very friendly and thorough. i havent had any issues with scheduling or getting a return phone call since ive been coming. I recommend them to all my friends!

I just finished my laser hair removal package with Alternative Medi-Spa and had fantastic results. The estheticians are great and really work with you and your schedule! I saw the other comments and was surprised about the problems that they had. All I can say is that they now are doing a fabulous job! Don't hesitate to go, there are great! Oh, not in Lyons, they are in Oak Brook. Maybe that's why, new location and all.

DO NOT GO!!! Horrible!!! – I am a pretty mellow and accommodating person...I have never left a customer comment before in my life and this is the first time I truly experienced horrible customer service teetering on fraudulent behavior! I was extremely disappointed after purchasing a laser package...once they received my money, they could not bother with setting up the next appointment. I tried 5 times!!!! Horrible Service, not consistant, NOT worth it. – I bought a package of 6 microderms/peels. Have had 6 different employees! The technicians are ALWAYS quitting. The turn over is ridiculous. They are all very nice but it would be great to have the same person get to know your skin. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and schedule an appointment. You leave a message and no one calls you back. Then when you do finally get a hold of someone they can't find an appointment for over a month away. They can't keep any record... read more

Unprofessional, horrible service & unreliable – On my first appointment, they overcharged my credit card by over a hundred dollars and told me they didn't know how to reverse it. Now that I already paid in full for my sessions, they made it clear that they have no interest in providing their services. It is impossible to make an appointment with them. A true gem in the area – Alternative Medi-Spa, located right next to my favorite drive-thru Starbucks, is a true gem in the area. Great ambiance, nice staff, and relaxed yet professional atmosphere. So nice to have a Spa in the neighborhood and not have to drive to the city anymore. I highly recommend Dr. Rostein and his esthetician Martin.
